Captain Aplikowski has a solid reputation as a loser.

This is the work of a genuine sociopath. 

Well, okay, Spotty, Andy's being a moron, but how is he a metaphor?

 The subject of Andy’s blogpost was the smear campaign against Laura Brod; Andy made allegations that the smear was coming from within the MN GOP.

So Aplikowski is factually inaccurate - no surprise from a Bachmann supporter.

In fact there are so many pathetic examples of Aplikowski's MO on the web, that it gets tiresome pointing them out.  

Sort of pathetic that a guy like this is invited to participate in the so-called Late Debate, let alone serve as guest host.  I guess they were desperate, though.  Even called in Mitch Berg.
