Fisking Mitchell P. Berg

or, An Example of How Berg Rolls...

The other evening an exchange occurred between the Bergbrain and another tweeter which is a perfect example of Berg's MO:

I know Marx. I know Norway. I reject socialism based on its merits. Care to debate merits/lack of 'em? Can you?

mitchpberg

@

Don't interpret my response as interest, though. Gotta get back to real life. Ciao!

mitchpberg

@

I know Norway vastly better than you do.

mitchpberg

@

But kudos for jumping past strawman and tu quoque straight to begging the question!

mitchpberg

@

Not bluffing, merely less interested in reciting Marx (I've read Kapital - in German as well as English) than its failures.

mitchpberg

The ad-hominem. Check. Now it's time for either a strawman or a tu quoque.
mitchpberg

@
And what you've posted shows that you're an overweening overentitled adolescent who's never HAD to defend your argument for real.
mitchpberg

@
Then go away!

You're burying your head in the sand. The Norwegian system is rotting from the inside; propped up by oil for now.

mitchpberg

Do you know what "begging the question" even means? Using a conclusion as proof of a conclusion? That's what you're doing!

mitchpberg

@

I mean you tout the glories of "pure" Marxism - it's clear you are more allied to socialism than truth.

2/2 Norwegians. History shows the entire system to be a dehumaniing abomination. I'm happy Norway hasn't collapsed. but it will.

Only in the mind of a Bergbrain would such sputtering qualify as rational argumentation.  But then Mitch has been doing this for years.  A master of phrases like "and your mother wears combat boots."

Norway has universal health care and a pension system for all.  A terrible place that Mitch predicts will collapse.
